About Me

Audrey Adobea Adade, MSW, is a writer, author and a public health professional.

Her experience includes work in journalism, government, and non-profits. But, the nexus of all her experience is serving others.

By way of background, with a passion for and dedication to public service, Audrey has worked in health and human services for 14 years. Audrey has extensive experience working with federal cooperative agreements, grants and contracts, working with states, municipalities, individual school districts, universities, community organizations and various stakeholders. 

Her focus in her federal work, particularly at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), was in school-based mental health, behavioral health disparities and evaluation research in sustaining evidence-based prevention practices. Audrey was an education outreach coordinator for the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America (SCDAA) Southern Connecticut, Inc., and a board member for the Fairfield, Connecticut chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

Audrey completed her undergraduate education at Fairfield University, with a B.A. in English, concentrating in Journalism and her graduate education at the Columbia University School of Social Work with an M.S. in Social Work, and a concentration in Public Policy. Her area of focus was health, mental health, and disabilities.
